Julian Banks Quartet | OxyMoron Album Launch
Friday 2 October, 7pm — Cross St Music Hall, Brunswick East
I'm launching my new album, OxyMoron — my first record of original music in close to a decade — and I didn't want to just book a room and play a set.
So the night's turned into a bit of a variety show: Vince Peach (PBS) spinning northern soul either side of the set, Kirsty Webeck doing stand-up before we play, and the Julian Banks Quartet launching the record in between.
$20 at the door. Come for one thing, stay for all three.
Every CD purchased on the night comes with a free OxyMoron high-bounce ball. The merch you never knew you needed!
Julian Banks Quartet is:
Julian Banks - Saxophone
Louis King - Guitar
James Gilligan - Bass
Joe Talia - Drums

Agung
AGUNG - was recorded in Denpasar, a day after climbing the balinese volcano Gunung Agung. This recording is a collaboration between Julian Banks Trio and Indonesian percussionist Cepi Kusmiadi on the Kendang Sunda. A thoughtful and captivating blend of percussion and melody.
Julian Banks Trio
A dynamic debut recording, featuring the incredible stylings of Christopher Hale on the 6 string semi-acoustic bass guitar, and James Hauptmann on drums.
